Q. What does the Pinnacle Choice Discount Savings Program do?

It offers discounts on a wide range of health and medical services, including doctor visits, hospital stays, lab tests, prescription drugs, dental services, vision services, hearing services, chiropractic and much more.

Q. How does the Savings Card work?

Pinnacle Choice has affiliations with several extensive networks of physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, dentists, chiropractors and hearing and vision centers. Through these networks, Pinnacle Choice can offer discounted network pricing that can save members off standard pricing.

Q. Is this insurance?

Absolutely not. Pinnacle Choice offers a discount savings card, NOT insurance. With this program, you pay a reduced fee at the time services are performed. There are no forms or paperwork to complete. You simply present your card; pay the discounted fee and leave.

Q. How can you offer such significant savings?

Pinnacle Choice has partnered with several regional and nationwide networks to provide health and medical services and at discounted rates. As a member, you get access to network service pricing that are have already been negotiated by the network providers on your behalf.

Q. How are the Discount Savings Card Programs used?

Many people choose one program to cover themselves for anticipated costs, such as dental work. Others use one or more programs to customize services that more closely meet the needs of their family.

Q. I have healthcare insurance through my employer but it doesn't cover dental or vision services. Can I still purchase a Pinnacle Choice Discount Dental and Vision Card?

Yes, the Pinnacle Choice Discount program can be used in conjunction with traditional health insurance to fill a gap. It cannot, however, be used to supplement an existing medical, dental, prescription, vision or hearing program.

Q. How do I find a network provider?

You may search for available network providers right here on our website. Also, once a member, you will see on the back of our member cards are all the numbers you need to find a provider. You can always call Pinnacle Choice's Customer Service Unit by dialing 866.746.5678 and we will guide you through the process.

Q. Is there any paperwork?

Initially, you need to submit a completed application to Pinnacle Choice, enroll online or call 866.746.5678. After that, there are no forms to fill out.

Q. How do I make an appointment with a provider?

Most network providers will not immediately recognize the Pinnacle Choice name. They should, however, recognize the network that they are affiliated with. The following is a list of guidelines to set an appointment:

  • Call the number listed on your card or visit our website to search for a participating provider or verify if your current provider is in the network
  • When contacting a participating provider, you should mention that you are a Pinnacle Choice member and that Pinnacle Choice utilizes the particular network that the participating provider is affiliated with – for example, our dentists participate in the CIGNA Dental Network.
  • When you arrive at the participating provider's office, show your Pinnacle Choice ID card and if they do not understand, suggest that they call the Provider Relations number listed on their ID card directly for details.

Q. Does the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card provide the member a set contract term?

No set contract term exists. All memberships are month to month. Members will receive their membership agreement with their fulfillment kit both electronically and via regular mail within 3-7 days of enrollment. Unless cancelled, the membership automatically renews each month.

Q. Since the member's contract is month by month, how does the billing cycle work?

The member is billed each month on the anniversary of their enrollment date.

Q. When does membership in the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card become effective?

The program is effective upon enrollment. A new member will receive their electronic enrollment packet the day of enrollment and can begin using the program immediately. A hard copy fulfillment packet will arrive in the mail in 7-10 business days.

Q. What is the maximum number of household can a member enroll in the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card program at a given time?

Up to 9 household members living at the primary residence can be listed on the card.

Q. Can members use the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card when traveling outside of the United States?

No, discounts are only available within the United States.

Q. What are the major advantages of the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card over other similar Discount Programs?

Q. Is there a maximum yearly discount a member can receive?

There are no maximum yearly discounts for any of the networks. A member pays the discounted fee each time they visit a participating provider.

Q. What happens if the member’s chosen provider is not listed in the Network?

We can provide the network with the provider’s name and request that they contact the provider about joining the network. This will take some time so the potential member will have to elect another provider or not use the program.

Q. Why doesn't Pinnacle sell its products to residents of CA, VT, FL, TX, MT, AK, SC, NC, UT, IN, OH, OR, NE & WV?

More and more states are beginning to require specific licenses and registrations. Pinnacle is working every day to keep up with all the new licensing requirements throughout the country. Presently, Pinnacle is in the process of finalizing all licensing and regulatory requirements in the states listed above. Until this is completed, Pinnnacle is not permitted to sell the product to residents of these states. This does not mean a member from another state cannot receive a discounted service in one of the states listed above.

Q. Can promotional rates or coupons advertised by the providers be used in combination with the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card?

The discount card cannot be combined with any other promotional offer.

Q. How long is the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card active?

A member may continue their membership until such time as they cancel in writing.

Q. If the member cancels the membership, how soon will the card be deactivated?

Depending on the date Pinnacle Choice receives the written request to cancel, we may retroactively cancel to the most recent renewal date (within 5 days) and refund that month’s payment. However, cancellations received after the 5th of the month will become effective at the end of the month.

Q. If member cancels within the 30-day risk free period, how soon can he/she receive the refund of the monthly enrollment cost?

Once we receive the written notice of cancellation and membership card in the mail, the refund will be processed that day.

Q. Does the member need to call Customer Service every month if he/she wants to keep the membership?

No, Pinnacle Choice will automatically renew the membership unless the member sends written notification of cancellation with the member id cards by US Mail.

Q. What if the member already has a Medical Discount card with another provider, can he/she still use the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card to get additional discounts?

Yes. As long as the member is active with Pinnacle Choice, they can receive discounts through our networks. However, Pinnacle Choice discounts cannot be combined with discounts received through other networks.

Q. Can a member give the Pinnacle Choice card as a gift to his/her friend?

Yes, we will need member's billing info and the recipient's information for the new account.

Q. What if the member does not have e-mail address?

If they do not have an email address, they will not receive their fulfillment packet until 7-10 days after enrollment via mail.

Q. Can the member provide his/her spouse or immediate relative’s e-mail address instead?

A member can provide any email address that they want their enrollment confirmation and electronic fulfillment packet sent to.

Q. What modes of payment are acceptable?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express as payment.

Q. Is the Program easy to use?

Yes, members can easily access discounts on provided services whenever needed, saving time and money. The Program is hassle-free! The Pinnacle Choice member services will be there to assist every step of the way.

Q. What if I am not happy with the Pinnacle Discount Savings Card?

If you are not satisfied with the Program, simply provide written notification of your request to cancel along with your member ID card and your membership will be immediately terminated.

Why do I need to present my Pinnacle Choice member card at the provider’s office?

Your Pinnacle Choice memberr card has the networks logo on it, which lets the office know that you should receive services at the pre-determined, discounted fee. If you do not present your ID card at the provider’s office, you will not be eligible for discounted fees, even though you are enrolled in the program.

Q. Can members change their provider?

Yes, you may visit another participating provider at anytime and you do not need to let us know.

Q. Can family members use different providers?

Absolutely. Each enrolled family member can visit his or her own provider who participates in the program.

Q. Is there a transaction fee to use my Pinnacle Discount Savings Card?

No. The only fee you must pay is the pre-negotiated discounted fee for the procedure you receive. You pay this directly to the participating provider at the point of service. No additional payments are required to Pinnacle Choice.

Q. What happens after I Enroll?

Upon your enrollment, you will be entered into the Pinnacle system and will then be ready to begin realizing the great benefits of being part of one of the largest discount networks in the country. Your membership enrollment packet is emailed to you upon enrollment and your fulfillment materials are mailed to you the same day you enroll. You can expect to receive it within 7 to 10 business days. You can immediately begin using the program.
